I originally met Raven (how AWESOME is her name ?!?) at Sarah and Kevin’s wedding in Charleston last year. One of my favorite random shots of the day is, ironically, of her peaking around the line of girls just before the ceremony started. She and Josh are a lot of fun and incredibly easy to be around. We bounced around the Clemson area and, as many times as I’ve shot over there, they managed to show me a few new places – which is awesome! It really helps with the creative flow of the day. I had a great time with them for their engagement session and am really looking forward to their wedding later this year! Keep you eyes out for Raven’s bridal session later this year too – she’s going to be one beautiful bride!! Enjoy…

I met Ryan at the Wedding Festival. He was there doing his homework for his fiance, Caitlin, while she was out of town for the weekend. So you know he’s a winner, right? I had a great time with these two this past weekend! The weather warmed up just enough for us to be able to go outside and give us some great pictures along with our vitamin-D shot! I’m looking forward to sharing their big day with them this summer! Enjoy~

Thank you to everyone for such a great 2011! We want to give a special thank you to all of those of you who reviewed us in Wedding Wire and shared your experience with others. Thanks to you – we have been given the 2012 Bride’s Choice Award. Here is the blurb from Wedding Wire:
We are excited to announce Aperture Vision Photography has won the Bride’s Choice Awards™ 2012.This prestigious award is determined by reviews from your past clients and recognizes the top 5 percent of local Wedding Professionals from the WeddingWire Network.
The WeddingWire Bride’s Choice Awards ™ recognizes the top local wedding professionals from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellence in quality, service, responsiveness and professionalism. Awards are determined by a combination of four factors: Overall rating (quality), total number of reviews (quantity), review performace from 2011 (recency), and consistency of reviews from year to year (consistency). This year’s recipients represent the top 5% of WeddingWire’s vendor community, across all service categories and all regions throughout the US and Canada.

It’s that time of year again. We’re in preparation mode for the upcoming Wedding Festivals starting next month and we need your help. We have decided that we want to showcase Sarah and Kevin at the upcoming shows, but we just can’t decide which of these shots is our favorite. So we’re asking you to help us decide which would work best as one of our super enlargements in our booth. Take a look at these, click on them to enlarge them, and then in the comment section, just let us know which # print you like the best. We’re excited to hear from you!

I am very excited to share this post with everyone. For any of you who have kept up with our blog and Facebook pages will recognize Melissa as part of the Aperture Vision team. And you will most certainly remember her beautiful bridal session an her and Will’s charming e-session. At Aperture Vision, we like to think of everyone as family, so – just like Wendy from a couple of posts ago – this is special to us! Will and Melissa are both genuine people and so incredibly nice it is hard not to immediately love them both. Their wedding day was a lot of fun – the first encounter at Cherrydale was awesome. As we were taking some shots out on the main mall of Furman’s campus, we flagged down a passing firetruck and were able to get a couple of cool shots with the big engine! Just as a little FYI – Melissa has an amazing amount of talent and a crazy artistic flare that she was able to showcase for her wedding. She did all the floral arrangements, reception table details, and cake decorations herself. Talk about your own personal touch to everything! We had a wonderful time with them on their big day and I was honored to be there. I hope everyone enjoys these teasers as much as I do!
Flowers – Melissa!!! | Cake – Creative Confections | Catering – Furman Aramark | Ceremony & Reception Venue – Furman Chapel & Younts Center
